10 Ways My Fellow Democrats Can Be More Democratic

Number 1

Isolationism.

How can democrats justify their advocacy of universalism in regard to the environment but not in regard to advancing democracy, compassionate capitalism, free trade, human rights and privileges, health care, education, housing, jobs, and transportation?

Number 2

Pacificism

Why do democrats seemingly not appreciate that some things are worth fighting for? Why do democrats fail to recognize just offensive wars as well as just defensive wars? Why do democrats confuse personal tragedy and grief with national objectives and security?

Number 3

Political Correctness (PC)

Why do democrats insist that all democrats must be of a like mind on matters? Why do democrats fail to encourage questioning and challenging of assumptions and premises? Why do democrats ostracize fellow democrats who dare to disagree about matters?

Number 4

Defeatism

Why do democrats believe that we can’t succeed in virtually anything which we put our minds and bodies to? Why do democrats consider it naïve to be optimistic? Why do democrats insist that we can’t win when we experience set-backs? Why don’t democrats re-read the history books about vicissitudes of experiences in getting from point A to point B? Why don’t democrats seemingly not understand that persistence toward good goals is valor?

Number 5

Elitism

Why do democrats think that they are any better than republicans? Aren’t all Americans concerned about their country, their economic, social, and religious groups, and their families? Aren’t democrats capable of understanding that evil or incompetence does not reside only in politicians of another party and that good and competence does not reside only among democrats?

Number 6

Misdirectedness

Shouldn’t democrats stay focused on programs which advance human rights and privileges in America and elsewhere? What has happened to the advocacy of single-payer national health care insurance? What has happened to public transportation improvements? What has happened to universal education improvements? What has happened to more middle-class housing? What has happened to assisting refugees? What has happened to improving communications systems? What has happened to job development programs?

Number 7

Self-righteousness

Why do democrats use the soapbox as remorselessly as republicans? Isn’t it reasonable that no one owns absolute truth? Why then do democrats insist that they own it? Isn’t it bad enough that republicans insist that they own it?

Number 8

Moral Relativism

Why do democrats choose to equate apples and oranges as equivalent? How have right and wrong become so confused in democrat thinking that victim and victimizer are treated similarly?

Number 9

Appeasement

Why are democrats trying to appease tyrants of the worst order? Why are democrats imitating Neville Chamberlain by their visiting Syrian and Iranian demagogues, one of whom encourages furtive terrorism and the other who has openly announced his intentions of wiping out others?

Number 10

Lack of Vision

Where is the democrat party espousal of a dream not only for a better America but also for a better world? Why aren’t democrats espousing the goodness of representative democracy and compassionate capitalism?
